Obituary for Louis A DeGregory Jr.

Louis A  DeGregory Jr.
Louis A. DeGregory, Jr., 69, of Melbourne Village, passed away May 19 with family by his side.
He was born to Louis A. DeGregory, Sr. & Irene Fiello on May 2, 1948 in New Castle, PA. Louis graduated from New Castle High School in 1966 and attended Ohio State University. He married Theresa M. DeMarco on September 17, 1994 at New Covenant Church in Pompano Beach, Fl. They relocated to Melbourne Village, FL in 1996.
Louis worked as a air conditioning design draftsman for 30 years. He retired from Florida Institute of technology in 2013 where he worked as a carpenter.
Louis was an active member of West Melbourne Community Church where he recently joined the praise team. He was a third degree knight in the Knights of Columbus and a member of the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed playing blue grass on a five string banjo, dancing at the Moose Lodge, bike riding, traveling and spending time with his six grandchildren.
Louis is survived by his wife, Theresa DeGregory, of Melbourne Village; his brother James (Sara) DeGregory of Chiefland, Fl ; his sister Janora Slifko of New Castle, PA ; his Godfather Frank (Dorothy) Fiello of New Castle, PA ; his stepdaughter Deana (John) Sorgenfrei of Melbourne Beach; his stepdaughter Tara (Jack) Rabel of Indialantic; and his 6 grandchildren Ashleigh, Brandon, Johnny, Christopher, Matthew and Danielle. Louis is predeceased by his parents and his brother Ralph DeGregory and granddaughter Adriana Sorgenfrei.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 24th from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. at Davis Seawinds Funeral Home in Melbourne, FL. A celebration of life will follow at the AHF Melbourne Village Hall.
