James Bentley 57 died Wednesday September 28,2016 at home with his family by his side.
He was born in Miami on September 10,1959 to the late Can and Gracie Bentley. James and
his family moved from Miami to Eau Gallie in 1969. As a kid he enjoyed nature and the Indian
River Lagoon .James graduated from Eau Gallie High School in 1978. He met and married the
love of his life Jill Newhouse in 1979. Although his life was too short they enjoyed love, family
and fun.
James became a plasterer at the age of 15 and went on to start Brevard Stucco Inc in 1987
.Here he met many of his favorite life long friends.He enjoyed his grandchildren and
one of his favorite things in life was fishing especially at Sebastian Inlet. He was one of the
diehard fisherman that even fished in the middle of a tornado once! I hope that he will forever be
fishing with Todd, Bob and Johnnie !!
He is survived by his wife Jill and children Hope Newton and Can Bentley ,sisters June
Price,Gracie Shaw and brother Keith Rudd, his Aunt Betty, 11 nieces and nephews and his
grandchildren Ezekiel, Candy Gail, Hailey, Madilyn and Zoey.
A celebration of James life will be held at 4pm at Davis Seawinds on November 6, 2016 ,560
Montreal Ave Melbourne . Following the service guests can come to 1266 Houston St , his
