Robert Joseph “Mud” Shope, age 78 of Palm Bay, FL went to be with his savior Jesus Christ and the Lord above on Monday September 12, 2016. He was born in Richmond, VA and served in the US Army.
He was a member of the American Legion and the Moose Club. He was an avid Nascar race fan #24.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father Edward & Ethel Shope, his wife Linda and brother Charlie Shope.
He is survived by brothers Bucky & George, three sisters, Dottilee, Theresa and Barbara Ann, four children; Robert Jr, “Bubba”, Kathy, Penny, Terrie, 8 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and loving partner of thirty years Gayle Durocher.
Memorial services will be held Saturday September 24, 2016 at 1 PM at Our Lady of Grace Church, Palm Bay FL
A service in Richmond, VA will be announced at a later time.
