Obituary for Lawrence D Bass

Lawrence Darrah Bass, of Dover, New Hampshire, began eternal life with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday September 2, 2016. He was 85 years young.He began his career with the US Army at age 17 as a private. He served every enlisted rank through Command Sergeant Major, retiring as a highly decorated Chief Warrant Officer 4, having honorably served our country for 44 years. During his military career he served as a combat veteran in Desert Storm. Lawrence also retired from Bell Telephone Company, having worked in a variety of positions culminating as a motivational speaker. After he retired from his professional career, he became a life member of the VFW and American Legion. He proudly served as a past Commander of the Satellite Beach VFW, Post 4643 He was an active member of: the Patrick Air Force Base Yacht Club, MOAA, the Elks Club, and the MOC, Military Order of the Cooties. Lawrence was adored by all his friends and family for his charisma, charming personality and great sense of humor. The joy and laughter he brought to our lives every day will be greatly missed. Lawrence is survived by his wife, Nancy Bass, his daughter, Linda Bass Aga, a brother, Roger Bass, two step-daughters, one step-son, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandson.

Services will be held at the Davis-Seawinds Funeral Home on Thursday, September 8th.
The service will be presided over by Father Norman Desrosiers, Lawrence's best friend for many years. Viewing is from 11 am to 2 pm, Graveside services to follow at Florida Memorial Gardens, Rockledge, FL
