Obituary for James Greenwood Jr.

James  Greenwood Jr.
James F. Greenwood, Jr. of Londonderry, NH and Barefoot Bay, FL died July 29, 2016 after a period of declining health. Jim was born on December 30, 1943 to the father of J Francis and Marie Anderson Greenwood. He was educated in local schools in Londonderry and Derry graduation from Pinkerton Academy in 1961.
He became an equipment operator, carpenter, electrician and plumber while working in the construction business. In 1963 he married his best friend and lover Joyce Caron. They had three wonderful children, Sandra, Mark and Randall.
Jim was also active in the Londonderry Vol. Fire Dept for many years serving as Secretary Treasurer and Deputy Chief toward the end of that part of his life.
He loved the outdoors; fishing, hunting, camping and an occasional round of golf.
In 1967, he went to work for Public Service Co. working various positions becoming line supervisor later retiring after more than 35 years of service.
The first few years of retirement he and his wife spent spring and summer at the cottage they built on Cow Island on Lake Winnipesauke, Tuftonboro and wintered at Barefoot Bay in Florida. In 2007, he and Joyce moved to Big Diamond Pond in Stewartstown, NH where they made some excellent friends in God’s Country, as he called it. Deer, moose, bears, beaver, otters, osprey, bald eagles, raccoons and fox commonly came to visit and eat.
He leaves his wife Joyce C Greenwood, with 52 ½ years of marriage of Londonderry and Barefoot Bay, their daughter Sandra Rowe and her husband Len of Goffstown, Son Mark and his wife Mary Jane of Londonderry and son Randall and his partner Sandy Daskey of Epping and Londonderry and several grandchildren, great grandchildren nieces and nephews;
and without saying a few words of his own….
I want to thank my family and friends and everyone I have met along the way for whatever you contributed to my life. The places I’ve gone, the people I’ve met and the things I’ve seen; it has all been incredible. And as we part, I would like to share part of an old Irish blessing with you;
May the road rise to meet you, may the wind always beat your back and the sun always shine upon you.

Thanks Jim
